About Eric Ericsonhallen, Formerly Skeppsholmskyrkan
Skeppsholmskyrkan, also known as Carl Johans kyrka, is an iconic building in Stockholm with a rich history. Inaugurated in 1842 and constructed in neoclassical style with influences from the ancient Pantheon in Rome. In 2001, Skeppsholmskyrkan underwent a transformation when it was deconsecrated, meaning it was no longer used as a place for religious ceremonies. In 2009, a renovation of Skeppsholmskyrkan took place, giving rise to Eric Ericsonhallen. During the renovation, the fixed church pews were removed, opening up the space and making it more adaptable for various events and contexts. This transformation into a more versatile and flexible venue has made Eric Ericsonhallen a popular destination for concerts, cultural events, and weddings.
